Hi there! Happy Friday! I was able to make it to a great spin class this morning and my legs are getting back into the swing of things 🙂 I was still a little sore from a killer kick-my-butt box class Wednesday night. That class always kicks my booty 🙂 I’ve also been trying to make sleep my number one priority and to get to bed by at least 10pm. I usually get caught up on blog reading late into the night, hence my lack of reading/posting 🙁 I’ve been lacking in the sleep department and I can totally tell how it effects everything, so I need to change that for the better!

Last night I tried nutritional yeast for the first time on baked kale chips and I think I really like it! It has a nice, toasty ‘cheesy’ flavor along with a great amount of B vitamins, protein and fiber. Why hadn’t I tried this before??? Averie has some killer nooch recipes (as she calls it), and they look quite tasty.
Because I headed home kind of late, I decided to stop by TJ’s on the way home and picked up one of their refrigerated goat cheese pizzas with basil. No cooking, whaaa? That’s right, I like convenience too 🙂 It was really good and I sprinkled some more basil on top. Kale chips are pretty much the bomb!
After dinner I was still feeling like some filling so I mixed up about 1/2 cup unsweet chocolate almond milk with 1/2 scoop or so of BSN banana cream pudding. I have enjoyed all of their flavors so far, yummy! You can definitely tell there is xanthan gum in there because it gets pretty thick!

I’m looking forward to the weekend! On Saturday I am volunteering for the Tour de Cure Ride that Chris is participating in. He’s feeling much better and has pretty much gotten over his cold, but I still think he should do the metric since he hasn’t been able to train much. I’ll be cheering on the participants at a fuel station 🙂
Sunday I may be meeting with a few prospective buyers looking at my Giant Avail road bike, so we’ll see if I can get a ride in? I want to sell mine and I’m still looking for an upgrade replacement. It’s so hard to decide on such a big purchase, eek! But if I end up selling it I’m really going to have to make a decision fast so I can have a bike to ride asap. Man, I am drooooling over Kalli’s new bike, yowza!
Anyone know of anyone in the Vegas area that would like a nice entry-level road bike?
Ok, on to the raffle!!!
My local WholeFoods was gracious enough to donate a $50 giftcard to raffle off for my ride to benefit LiveStrong! I know it’s not that much, but if you’re like me going into WholeFoods is like going into a candy store and I could always use a little help in that department 🙂
Here’s how you can win:
- $5 donation gets you one entry
- $10 gets two entries
- $15 gets four entries
Good luck and thank you! Just go to the secure donation page and I will keep track of each entry on Excel and announce a winner next Friday April 16th 🙂
Have a good weekend!
Have you tried nutritional yeast before?
Lean Dessert is my absolute favorite protein powder! I love the chocolate coconut candybar. I also really like BSN Syntha 6!

I tried making kale chips a few weeks ago and my kids rejected them. Tried lots of variations including cinnamon sugar but quit after several attempts. 🙁 I can relate to the lack of sleep- I’ve been so busy that my workouts have dropped off a much as my sleep. Yuck. Gotta get it together!
